← RelayCrew

Every missed call gets a text before they dial anyone else.

A call you cannot take does not have to be a job you lose. The moment it goes unanswered, the caller gets a text — and most of them reply instead of moving down the list.

It runs automatically on every RelayCrew crew. Nothing to set up and nothing to remember.

Why a text works when a callback does not

Someone whose water heater just failed is not waiting by the phone hoping you ring back. They are working through search results. Every minute you take to return that call is a minute a competitor can take it instead.

A text lands immediately and costs the customer nothing to answer. They can reply from a meeting, from the school run, from under the sink with a bucket. It restarts the conversation on their schedule rather than yours.

It also gives you something a voicemail never does — a written thread with a phone number attached, so the lead exists in a form you can actually follow up.

What the message actually does

Sends within seconds
Not a batch job at the end of the day. It goes while the caller still has your number on screen.
Names your business
So it does not read like spam and does not get ignored.
Asks one useful question
What do you need and when. Enough to triage without feeling like a form.
Hands off to Ava
If they reply, the conversation continues and can end in a booked appointment rather than another callback.
Logs everything
Number, time, message, reply. The lead is recorded whether or not it converts.

What the text actually says

Short, named, and asking one thing. Long automated messages read as spam and get ignored.

SENT 8 SECONDS AFTER THE MISSED CALL
Hi, this is Coastal Plumbing — sorry we missed you just now. What do you need help with, and how soon? Reply here and we will get you booked.

The business is named so it does not look like spam. The question is open so it is easy to answer from a phone one-handed. And it promises a booking rather than a callback, because a callback is the thing the caller was already trying to avoid.

The rules that keep it legal

Automated texting to consumers is regulated, and getting it wrong is expensive. This is worth understanding before you switch anything on.

A reply to someone who just called you is on much firmer ground than an unsolicited message, because they initiated contact. That is the only kind of text this sends. It never messages a number that has not just rung you, and it never runs a list.

Opt-outs are honoured immediately and permanently. If someone replies STOP they are never texted again, and that stays true across every bot in your crew. We would rather lose a lead than put you on the wrong side of a TCPA complaint.

It is a safety net, not the plan

Worth being straight about this: a text back is what happens when the call was already missed. It recovers some of those callers. It does not recover all of them, and some people simply will not text.

Answering the call in the first place converts far better than any recovery message. That is what Ava is for. Missed-call text back is the layer underneath — for the ones that still slip through.
